Best Makeup Brushes 2011

When it comes to makeup brushes, a lot of us are completely mystified. And let’s face it—a lot of times, we’d much rather use our fingers or sponge applicators in most cases. The question is—do you know how dirty that fingers or sponge applicators are?

Sure, fingers can be washed—that’s a very valid point. However, unless you vacuum your fingers free of any oil or dirty, you still have some residue remaining on your fingers. This can mean uneven application or splotchy application, which almost never looks quite right.

The same goes for sponge applicators—after a while, there’s just no point to them. You leave dead skin cells, oil from your face, and makeup residue in that little applicator and it’s impossible for you to remove it. This is repeatedly smeared onto your face over and over again.

Luckily, if you use makeup brushes, you can get rid of this problem easily. Your skin isn’t as readily trapped and the oil is permitted to escape. But it gets a lot better—you can actually CLEAN makeup brushes!

So you might be wondering—what are a few of the best makeup brushes?
Firstly, you don’t have to assume that expensive means best. However, it is up to you what you feel is better quality.

First, there is the CVS brush kit called Essence of Beauty brush kit. This kit has several brushes that are labeled so that you know what each brush is for. This kit is very reasonably priced and is one of the best, cheapest brush kits that you can buy.

Then there is the Wet and Wild Kabuki brush, which is absolutely perfect for applying powder.

The NYC brush kit may not have much to offer as far as it’s blush brush and lip brush go, but you can use the eyeliner brush to apply eyeliner to your waterline if you use shadow as eyeliner.
