Eye makeup is a key component to makeup. It draws attention to the eyes by defining them. Eyeliners provide this definition from time immemorial. It is used to enhance and contour the eyes to make them pop and can make the eyes look smaller or bigger, depending on how it is applied. There is a need for a different kind of makeup for day time and evening wear. At daytime, the makeup should be softer while at night time, makeup can be bolder and more obvious. For this reason, different types of eyeliners in different forms have been developed and manufactured to suit everyone’s needs and preferences.

Kohl Eyeliner
Kohl eyeliner is soft powder usually, black in color or in other dark matte shades used to outline the eyes. It is more popular in India and other Middle East countries and has been used as far back as the Bronze ages. Because of its soft texture, it is smooth and easy to apply but is more likely to smudge or smear.

Liquid eyeliner
Liquid eyeliners are opaque liquids that come in small bottles and applied by a felt applicator or minute brush. Liquid eyeliners create a b righter, sharper and more precise and visible line. They create a more dramatic and stunning looks for the eyes but is a little difficult to use by beginners.

Wax – based pencil eyeliners
These are softer pencil eyeliners that contain wax for easy application. Like the regular pencil liner, they also come in a variety of colors from the very intense or dark to paler or lighter shades such as beige or white.
